Blue Skittle Manicure!

Hey guys!

Today marks my 100th post, I have been a bit lazy here and there and I'm pretty sure if I posted more I would've had more followers and views!! And a month from Saturday with be the one year anniversary of my blog! Yay!! Blogiversary!!

I went out today to buy a notebook and I ended up coming home with nail polish, who would have thought that Poundland would have some Sally Hansen nail polish??? I remember buying a bunch of Revlon polishes from there then popping into Superdrug and finding the same colours on the shelf but at full price....thank the market gods for Poundland!

So having bought nail polish I had a random idea and totally went for it and created another skittle manicure but in blue of course because that's some ones special favourite colour! <3

Here are the pictures!

The leopard print is freehanded! I've yet to do a full manicure on that one so watch out!

Ignore my index finger breakage!
Yay! Penguin!

My pinky has micro beads to give the "caviar" effect and my middle finger is of course furry with the MUA fur effects (SWATCH HERE!) Used my CH2 stamping plate to stamp of the tiger stripes! I kept my thumb plain to show the lovely teal colour of the Sally Hansen polish I bought today!

What do you think??

Bye for now!

Water Marble Attempt #Kill Me!

Hello!

The title just says it all...this killed me! Water marbling is just one of those bloody damn techniques I cant even get right! No matter how many tutorials or bloody tips I follow I still cant manage to pull off a decent manicure! This LITERALLY took me 6 attempts! I actually nearly gave up...why? because I spilt a bottle of nail polish all over my carpet! My lovely green circle carpet now has a large red stain!

Hell no, I wont give up! I will not allow this technique to get the best of me!

Which resulted in this:

Looks a bit funky and I like it! Although I wanted it to be a little more consistent but I couldn't achieve that on my index and pinky! LOL

What do you think of water marbling? I HATE IT!

Furry Blue Nails!

Hello!

Today I have a really cool effect I've seen around, many of you know it as the velvet manicure and it uses flocking powder. Make Up Academy recently released their version of it and I bought the blue one! It's an awesome effect and it really is furry!

I cant stop feeling my nails lolzzz really feels good to rub it on my lip :P haha freaky but seriously good

Here is what it looks like :)

Boo Boo Fluff is the name of the colour!
Its a really fine powder :)

and here it is on my nails!

Find swatch of the blue HERE!

Although it doesnt show up clearly in the pictures, my nails are actually really furry! and I can feel the small bits move when I touch it!

All in all I think this is a good product and great effect for a good price. However their could have been more in the container :)

What do you think?

Oh! before I go let me leave you with a chemistry joke :D

Bye for now ;)

Precision Murder!

Hello all!

Okay, I'm not crazy (maybe a little) but there is a whole new meaning to this.

I have been addicted to watching Breaking Bad and watching them kill people with so much precision and careful planning and disposing of the bodies by using acid has me sitting with my mouth wide open!

So the other day I was just randomly experimenting with stamping plates and different colours and there was this one combination that made me think...precision! and the red nail polish over the pale pink made it look like a murder!

This is just my imagination linking the two!

Here they are :)

Its like each dot represents the people that were killed and disposed of!!

Crazy!!

Green Glitter Tips!

Hey guys!

I was having a look on my external hard drive and I found a couple nail pictures I took but never blogged about because I thought they looked ugly....But then having a second look at them a month later they actually look good! Funny how looking at something the first time you make a quick judgement then a few weeks later you change your mind quick!

I'm always like that!

Anyways, here are the pictures :)

Ah, pictures are a little blurry but that is what happens when I dont have a proper camera! Soon I shall invest in one :)

What do you think? Simple but eye catching!

Holographic Tiger Stripes!

Hello everyone!

Today, I have a manicure I am actually happy with! Its so beautiful to look at and I honestly spent most of the time flexing my nails in the light to catch glimpses of the holographic effect! The colour combination is totally awesome and I'm thinking of trying out this mani again with other colours!

The red I used is Models Own - Garnet (Swatch Here) Which stamped on perfectly! The holographic effect is from KIKI (Swatch Here) I actually love hologrphic nail polish! Id love to get one in green!

Now onto the nail pics :D

The topcoat really brings out the shiny side and its honestly really easy to achieve this effect!

What do you think?

Opposites Attract!

Hello!

Today I have a manicure that I personally think should not work but it does! The colour combinations are not ones you would think will work, however, they work very very well!

The base colour is O.P.I Smok'n In Havana which has such a lovely shimmer to it and a silky texture and its super shiny!

On top I stamped tiger stripes using one of my Cheeky stamping plates. The colour I used is Camouflage which is a lovely shimmery deep dark green colour!

Such an odd colour combination that totally works!

Here is one pic using flash!

You can really see the shimmer coming out with the flash on!

What do you think of odd colour combinations?

Gradient Stamping And The Little Sister!

Hello!

Today I did one of my friends nails! she has really long and lovely nails and since mine are in recovery what better substitute than hers?!!?

For her I did a gradient background consisting of pink and blue, Its amazing how the colours blended to create a purple where they join! It totally added to the effect!

Then I stamped one of the designs she liked in white so it can "pop" and show up clearly!

Here it is :)

She really likes her nails, which is always good to know that someone likes a design I did for them!

Now...my little sister who is 5 would not leave me at peace until I included her nails on my blog! She likes it when I add the sparkles! hahaha

Here are her nails!

She always likes her nails to be different on each hand with of course the sparkles!!

Thank you for reading :)

Bye for now!

Magnetic Glitter Gradient!

Hello!

Been on a bit of a nail block lately...feeling a bit on the poopy side of life but I'll survive!

I would really like to buy a new camera but I had no cash since I don't work, been looking for a lot of jobs lately as well. I've applied to a whole load but none get back to me :( wahhhh! Must be my inexperience...but how am I suppose to gain experience if no where accepts me?? kinda confuzzling really!

Anyways enough ranmbling before I actually loose the plot here!

I don't know where I saw this gradient but I found it so cool that it could be done with magnetic nail polishes by adding top coat and hovering the magnet above the nail!

Here is my attempt :)

I used the four different magnets I have on each nail! I think this is totally cool!

What do you think??

Bye for now!
