Crackle Sparkle!

Hey Ladies!

A few days ago I did a swatch post on Barry M's - Pink Silver Glitter (HERE) So I took this amazing glitter and incorporated it into an accent nail for an easy type of nail art...Crackle!

We all know Crackle effect has become so outdated that barely anyone uses it anymore, But recently I have been so drawn back to them that I had to do a crackle mani!

I painted my nails two coats of Essence - L.O.L then topped it off with W7 - Mauve Crackle, which is this lovely metallic shiny purple crackle effect! I am so pleased with how fine the cracks are on my nails! I only used one thick and fast stroke :)

Here it is!

It turned out so beautiful! Definitely impressed with the quality and I love the manicure :)

What  do you guys think?

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Swatcher - Barry M - Pink Silver Glitter!

Hey Ladies! And new followers <3

Swatch post for you all today! For my birthday my Mum got me some awesome glitter polishes by Barry M :D They have to be one of my favorites! So I decided to swatch them for all you lovely ladies :)

Today I will be showing you Pink Silver Glitter (what a catchy name right!? :P) This is one of the finest glitters I won, Its filled with...you guessed it pink and silver fine glitters! that build up amazingly!

Completely dry in a couple minutes and FULL coverage! It does dry to a kinda gritty feeling but I love that so didn't bother with top coat :) My swatch is three thin coats!

I'm really impressed with this glitter and it is one of my favorites now!

What do you ladies think!?

Hey Ladies,

As you can all tell by the title, today is my birthday! Yes, I am finally 20 years old...doesn't feel any different besides sore knees and always feeling sleepy (lol jk) Time has gone so quick and I can't believe that i'm already 20 in no time! I remember being 10 years old and at school being asked "What do you think you'll be doing in 10 years time" and I've always answered "I think I'll be a scientist!" lol :D And here I am today, blogging and starting my Biomedical Science Undergraduate course in two weeks!

For today I just wanted to go simple but sparkly! What better than painting my nails with my favorite colour of all time GREEEEEN :D and adding some blue and green glitter to it! Absolute beauty :)

Here it is!

This green is just my favorite!! My lovely friend got it for me :D

Elegant Flowery Stampwich!

Hey ladies!

Today I have a manicure inspired by one of my fellow British blogger Cazzy :) over at SpecialGirlNails!

I saw on her blog a few months back where she had taken the idea of a jelly sandwich glitter and turned it into a jelly stampwich! Where you stamp a design over a sheer polish and top it off with the same shee polish and the design still shows through!

This is such a great effect that I had to try it out! My base coat is Sally Hansen - Strike A Pose and I stamped with Orly's - Hot Chocolate :)

Here it is!

Here it is without the layer of colour on top! just for comparison :)

Swatcher - Sally Hansen - Strike A Pose!

Hey ladies!

Today I  have a swatch post for you all today! Been to the Pound shop again and found this Sally Hansen beauty!

It's definitely not a colour that I would use but I got it anyway because Sally Hansens are expensive! And I knew that this polish would bee great for a jelly sammich!

I did a little research and Strike A Pose is from the Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Spring 2011 Collection!

The shade is described as an palescent pearl, but seriously when you have it on it like an amazing duochrome effect a kinda bluey-purpley undertone to it :)

You really have to layer this polish on, I have four coats on but to be fair it was worth it. They drying time was quick so I was able to layer on with ease! That's always a plus, right?
Nail line was till visible but that didn't bother me :)
Here are the swatches!

I have a feeling this polish is more like a topper for plain effect polishes. What do you guys think?!

Stay tuned tomorrow for some stamping on this amazing colour!

August Tri-Polish Challenge - Day 4

Hey Ladies!

Its the last day of the Tri-polish challenge! I cant wait for next month! Enjoyed participating this month :)

Can you believe it, its the last day and I just realise that the colours for this month...Red, Green and Yellow remind me of a traffic light! and I only realised this after dotting the colours on my nails! lol

Talk about being late :P if i had realised earlier I would have done traffic lights on my nails instead of dots!

Either way, here it is!

What do you guys think!?

Don't forget to check out the other manis I did for this months challenge :)

Foil Explosion Stamping - Green Edition!

Hey Ladies!

Today I am showing you the last of the foil explosion by NYC that I have purchased. I'm going to show you how the green one stamps today!

I'm not really happy about how this turned out :( I didn't have a green that was light enough for the foil to show through clearly! So I choose a light brown to stamp over and I didn't like how the stamp shows....it shows the colour green as silver :( wahhhhh....

Either way it stamped perfectly just like the others and I was okay with that... :) now all I need to do is go out and buy a green that is suitable enough to stamp over!

Here it is!

What do you ladies think?! Doesn't it look more silver rather than green?

Foil Explosion Stamping - Pink Edition!

Hey Ladies!

You all saw my post yesterday, where I showed you how the NYC Foil Explosion blue version stamped! Here I am today showing you how the Pink one stamps!

Initially I was going to use a simple stamp design and do some curves...Instead I decided to go for something more complicated to really test how these polishes stamp and I have to say I am really impressed! The design I used is so fine and delicate that even other polishes don't work well with it!

This is the design

You  can see its really fine detail :) Here it is stamped with Power Of Elements over Lavender Cupcake!

Ultra crap lighting! Sorry ladies :(!

As you can see it stamped the design really well! What do you gals think!?

Thanks for reading, stay tuned for tomorrow for the green version!

Bye for now!
