Swatcher ~ Barry M ~ Greenberry And Doodle Nails!

Hey Girlies!

I have a swatch of Barry M's - Greenberry! When I heard they will be releasing 4 new colours for their Gelly range I was quick to jump and buy Greenberry!

I didn't really get a chance to paint my nails properly with it till yesterday..it took one thin coat and two thick coats to get it perfect. There was a lot of streaking and pulling so that was frustrating..however, its still shiny and im still pleased with how it turned out!

*DROOOOL*

I love how shiny it is! I decided that this color needs some nail art on it and decided to doodle on my nails with a pen, after being inspired by Alice from One Nail To Rule Them All and her tutorial post on Paisley Print

Here it is :D

I love how it turned out :D what do you think?!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now

Chocolate Banana Milkshake Drip!

Hey!

Today I have for you the all simple 'Drip Manicure"

I've been meaning to do it for a very long while now...been putting off for ever! That's until I saw Skye from Curly Polish do it, her drip mani is soooo beautiful I had to try it out for myself (find her post HERE)

I didn't really thing about the colour combination at all here! I bought some new nail polish recently so just had a base coat of NYC - In A New York Minute - Park Ave on my nails! Its a lovely brownish kinda colour kinda like a light milkshake! I also painted an accent nail of Barry M's Textured - Atlantic Road....then it suddenly hit me...DRIP MANICURE....CHOCOLATE BANANANANA MILKSHAKE THINGY!

Thus I present

*drooooooooool*

You can really see the texture in the pictures since I didn't add topcoat!

What do you think of drip manicures? I found it so easy to achieve with a dotting tool!

Butterfly Nail Wraps!

Hey guys,

Today I have some nail wraps from Sally Hansen which I found in Poundland! Quite surprised I found a whole range of the nail wrap designs, but only bought the butterfly design since I was talking with my Mr Dork and he suggested a few great nail idea's one of them being Butterflies..so thanks to him for today's post!

Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin (button on the side!)

I really like these nail wraps and they last for quite a while! Although they do chip since they're nail polish strips and become hard and prone to chipping!

Swatcher ~ Barry M Textured Nail Paints - Ridley Road

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch of the new Textured polish range from Barry M. I am pretty sure you've all seen this in my previous manicures as I used it as a base coat for my Grassy Flowers post (HERE) and used it as an accent nail in my 1 Year BlogAnniversary post (HERE)

I absolutely love the texture that I bought the yellow one as well (swatch coming soon!)

The application is pretty easy and I got full coverage in two thin coats and the drying time is pretty quick too!

It's not as textured as the other brands out there but it is good enough for me!

What do you think of textured polish?

Thanks for reading!

Ask A British Nail Blogger - Nail Care Routine?

Hey all!

Today's post is all about my nail care routine (which is not much really!)

Here is everything I use to take care of my nails!

I first start by washing my hands, then I take the rough nail file (with the girl on!) and even out my nail shape, then I use the glass file and use it to smooth out the free edge. Then I use the buffer to smooth out my nail bed! Sometimes when my nails are super long first I cut them then I file :)

The plier looking thin at the top I use to just clip off any peeling skin because I will bloody end up pulling at it and causing an ouchie!

Then I like to use some cuticle remover and push back my cuticles GENTLY, then ill add some alcohol oil thingy!

Wash my hands after all that, then I use LUSH - Lemony Flutter...omg that stuff is amazing! I have the tester size because I just wanted to try before I buy and damn im gonna buy that!

Lastly, cream my hands and I'm all done! yay :)

I dont usually take hours because I really dont have the patience!

Thanks for reading ladies (and men)!

Check out the other nail care routines by us The British Bloggers!

Flower Power!

Hey girlies!

I was a bit bored today and still haven't gotton enough of the new Barry M textured polishes and decided to paint my talons with Barry M - Ridley road (swatch coming up soon!!)

Seriously in love with how this feels on my nails!

I couldn't decide on what design to paint over the base and though "I should try stamping!" that idea slightly failed, due to the textured finish on the polish, none on the stamp got transferred onto the nail! so that idea was scrapped!

What's the next best thing? dotting tool and simple flowers! wooooo! nothing can go wrong here at all :)

Here are the pictures!

OH MA GERD SHO CAYOOT! :P
