Crochet Penguin Nail Art!

Hey ladies!

How are you all doing today? :)

As all of you can see, I'm a bit of a crochet geek too and have been making cute little props to go with some of the nail art I do :)

A few days ago I crocheted a cute little penguin (took me bloody forever!) which I am so proud of :D She turned out so cute and perfect!

This inspired me to paint her on my nails :) I have done penguin nails before but this one is a little different because its a greeny bluey colour lady penguin!

Here are the pictures :D

I love how it turned out, I think I did really well this time round even though its such an easy design :)

Here is the cutie penguin!! :D

What do you guys think of crochet and nails? :) Do you like this design?

Fishy Fishtail!

Hey Girls :)

Fishtail Manicure...something I've always wanted to try but as soon as I do I fail miserably. I have hands that shake when I concentrate which makes, making a line a bloody NIGHTMARE!

A few days ago Claire from Nuthin' But A Nail Thing Posted a tutorial which you can find HERE that shows how to do the fishtail mani in smaller manageable steps for someone like me :P haha

I had to give it a go again, there is hope :D and of course I did, painted a coat of white then used Barry M Gelly - Mango, Greenbery and Keylime to do the tails!

I have to say, the tutorial really helped me but still I'm not as perfect as Claire doing the fishtail!

Here it is :)

I think it turned out okay, but could've been better! I find it hard choosing the right colours.

What do you guys think!?

I'm really craving cupcakes and decided it was time to edit the cupcake nail art I did about a week ago and get to posting it :D
Really love how they turned out and I used the Barry M gelly's I have - Greenberry, Keylime, Mango and the special edition Barry M polish - A (pink) and the textured yellow which I cant remember the name for the life of me :P lol

Here are the results! :D

And of course, what is cupcake nail art without a delicious crochet cupcake?! :D

Love how the cupcake turned out :D and it's super squishy too!!

Swatcher - SpaRitual - Emerald City!

Hey All :D

In my last post I swatched SpaRitual - Optical Illusion and mentioned that SpaRitual polishes are 5 free and vegan!

Well, today's post is a swatch of SpaRitual's Emerald City :D I loveeeeeeeee this colour! It's such a lovely bluey greeny colour with a gelly finish and really shiny!!
I found the polish to be quite sheer which meant I had to paint on many layers, I did one thin layer then two thick ones which is easy with the lovely thin polish brush which perfectly goes to my cuticles and gives an even layer of polish :) Since my nails are really white, after a few hours I added another coat just to hide my nail line!

SpaRitual polishes dry fast so the layering was no problem for me :) I would recommend layering it over white which would make the colour really pop!

Here are the swatches :D

You can definitely see how shiny it is :D I am really happy with this polish, but it would be better if it wasn't so sheer!

SpaRitual polishes retail for £9.75 and to view more of their polishes check out their website www.sparitual.co.uk :)

What do you think?!

Stay tuned, next time I have some nail art using these polishes :D

Greeny Gradienty Glittery!

Hey All,

Simple nail art today, I have a gradient topped of with glitter! But not any old boring glitter :D its NYC - lights, camera, glitter!
An amazing small fine glitter with blue and pink hex glitters in it :D I've been topping this over a lot of colours as you can tell from previous posts!

As i've mentioned before, gradients are so tedious...all the clean up needed afterwards..UGH! I used tape and damn PVA glue...still didn't help with the clean up!

Anywho, still got this working :D here it is!

My nail match the sunburst granny square I'm working on :D

What do you all thinkies?!

Barry M Gelly Gradient!

Hey All!

Today I have a simple manicure for you all to drool over! I've created a simple gradient using the two Barry M Gelly colours I recently purchased. Two of my current favorite colour, Keylime and Mango :D

Check out the swatches and reviews for Mango HERE and for Keylime HERE!!

I combined both colours to create a gradient, I find gradients kinda tedious because whenever I do it I never get a good gradient effect or I mess it up somehow!

Here it is <(") <---- Penguin lol

It came out okay, but could have been more gradienty :P lol

What do you think of gradients?!

Swatcher - BarryM Gelly's - Keylime!

Hey Girls!

As you all know I love the colour green loads and I've mentioned that a lot! I have literally found my perfect green :) And its Barry M's new gelly summer polish, the colour Keylime!!!! OMG best green ever!!

I find it a bit streaky if the first layer is thick so I applied a thin coat then a thicker one to give a better coverage! Love the shine I get when its fully dried!

Here are my swatches :)

Cute neon green crochet heart :)

Seriously in love with this green, its my all time number one Barry M colour as well as my favorite green!

What do you think of the Barry M Gelly's??

Thanks for reading!
